New Podcast | The Eighteenth Century on Screen

Hello! I’m so excited to share with you today a new podcast that I was very excited to be asked to be part of: the British Society for Eighteenth Century Studies’ (BSECS) podcast Coffee House Perspectives.

The podcast, as per their website, “brings together experts from the field of eighteenth-century studies to discuss and debate the ways in which contemporary culture in the twenty-first century engages, understands and reimagines the history, literature and culture of the long eighteenth century.”

It’s always nice to be considered an expert!

Well, the first episode discusses the eighteenth century on screen, so I was very honoured to join the discussion with Dr Maddy Pelling, Dr Adam Smith, Gràinne O’Hare and Anthony Delaney. I get very excited about storytelling, set design and drop many references to the Andrew Davies 1995 masterpiece Pride and Prejudice.

If you would like to, you can find the podcast and links to your listening platforms here.
